My Students

To my kindergarten students, the school environment is brand new and exciting. Not only is this our first year in our newly constructed elementary school, but for many of our students, it is their first time in school.

Despite the challenges of learning during a pandemic, our students remain joyful, excited, and ready to learn each and everyday.

Their energy is contagious and makes the staff at our school eager to provide them with everything they need to learn.

My Project

Kindergarteners are eager to share and have their voices heard. With twenty-five students, this can be a challenge. By having the right tools, it can make all the difference.

With these individual dry erase boards and markers, each student will have a chance to memorialize their thinking and hold it up for myself and others to see.

It will provide us with a valuable opportunity for them to make their thinking visible. This helps classmates learn from one another and also supports myself in making instructional decisions.

The printer will further support our learning as I will be able to easily access and print out individualized resources for each student based on what I noticed in their thinking. We will have increased access to small group resources, center activities, and targeted materials.
