My Project

Thank you for wanting to help our children learn money concepts using so many hands-on materials. Your donation will allow children to explore how money works using magnetic coins and a working ATM bank. They will use write wipe boards to record their thinking. Children need a solid understanding of how numbers work in order to learn about how money works.

Financial literacy is such a great life skill and providing hands-on materials to develop number sense in order to count coins and use money efficiently is a great boost for our children.

Our children need a good number sense base to help them understand how to count money efficiently and accurately. The magnetic regrouping chart helps with counting change and subtraction with large bills. Financial literacy is so important to start learning about in the younger grades. Most real-world math revolves around using money. Using a number of the day chart and base ten charts will help children connects tens and ones to dimes and pennies.
