Hi I am first grade teacher in Florida with and eager to learn group of students, hoping to make counting money and making change much more realistic and meaningful.

Money is a necessity, and learning to count money is a real-world skill that all students need to master. Learning how to count money is difficult when you don't have enough plastic money to practice with. This is the dilemma I am facing right now. I would like to create a realistic scenario for using money to help the students understand the concept of using money and making change.

For this project to be successful I need enough paper money and plastic money to set up a kit for each student to go shopping in our classroom and practice using money and making change. I also need supplemental instant math learning centers to help enrich the students with practice of the concepts we are learning in the class.

My students would greatly benefit from supplemental math supplies that give them hands-on access to learning to count money in a way that is fun and exciting. Your help will ensure that my students will get the opportunity to work together to solve real-world problems and independently reinforce skills through exciting activities that will motivate all levels of learners.
