My Project
I am so excited to write this grant. I am asking for stress balls, fidgets, candy, yoyos, sensory tiles and other items to add to my classroom store as well as a mobile cart to organize the items on. At the end of each month, the students get to shop at our store using the "money" that they have earned throughout the month. The students are able to earn money by making good choices, helping others, increasing test scores, coming to school, being a good friend, following directions, and much more. During the store, the kids are expected to organize and count their money. They look at the items ahead of time to plan their shopping trip, so they know how much money is needed for each item. We also work on making change.
It is so important that our students learn how to recognize, count money, and understand how to make purchases.
