Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our bilingual classroom is full of very creative and hard-working students who are curious about the world and are self-motivated learners!

At our school and in our classroom, our goal is to develop mindful leaders who take action both now and in the future to positively impact their communities and the world beyond.

Using a foundation of academic knowledge and global-mindedness each student will create a life of possibility and contribute to a more peaceful and just society. My kids are passionate and creative, they love to curl up with a book and be transported into different worlds, from that of Pete the Cat to the Pyrenees Mountains. We will ignite a movement to create a better world. We will transform our educational systems by being an incubator of innovation.

My Project

The students in our bilingual first-grade class will use the t-shirts to continue their academic success in providing awareness about the importance of perseverance and love for math. They will also wear the t-shirts for our class celebration and at an event showcasing their work at the end of the school year.

The donations of these t-shirts will improve our students' lives because it will increase the pride and love they have for math with how hard they worked.

The t-shirts will also increase the unity of our class.

The excitement of the students as they unwrap their new shirt with Jiji will help cement the love for academic rigor they've built up over the year. Their smiles will say it all as they put on their shirts and get their pictures taken, and then they are able to wear their shirts around the school.
