My Students

My students come from various cultural backgrounds. Many of them come from New York City shelters. Despite their limitations, I want them to feel empowered and to continue to exhibit a love for learning.

I believe that all students can learn and I want to hold my students to that standard and to have them believe in themselves.

Our students are inquisitive, compassionate, and creative. They need school supplies to maximize their potentials. However, many of them usually come to school claiming that their parents cannot afford to purchase these necessary tools. Help me give my students the tools they deserve to begin the new school year.

The lack of supplies makes it difficult for my students to complete assignments and succeed in the classroom. Nevertheless, I am excited to work with these students and I feel blessed to educate them.

My Project

Basic needs like pencils, paper, and notebooks help my students to engage in classroom activities. In our classroom, these supplies are used daily to show understanding of concepts in every subject area, especially in Math and ELA. Many of our families have difficulty affording these basic supplies. Without these supplies, it's very difficult for the students to learn effectively.

By donating to our project, you will not only help my students participate in their lessons, but you will also help improve engagement in the classroom.

I do not want my students to fall behind because of parents' inability to afford school supplies. By having these supplies, students will be able to avoid all of these problems and focus on increasing their learning.
