Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 6th and 7th grade students in a Title 1 school. The majority of our students are on free or reduced-price lunch.

My goal is to enhance the learning by offering more flexible seating options for my students.

I teach students that use tablets and work in various grouping arrangements and different seating options will give them the flexibility and movement they require to stay focused and be successful.

Let's make the magic happen! Fun seating options will make my students have fun, feel cozy and welcomed, and encourage them to learn.

My Project

I am requesting 4 bean bag chairs to give my students some flexibility and choice in seating options. I have already purchased some yoga balls at my own expense and feel that colorful bean bag chairs Some students work in pairs or individually and require alternate choices for seating. If they need to break off into groups, bean bag chairs will allow them to refocus and spread out from their peers.

Many of my students find it necessary to move around the room in our block schedule classes, so they can have the flexibility of moving from the traditional desk to work in a cozy bean bag chair.
