Shining a Light on Hands-On Learning

My Project

My students are looking forward to starting the school year together. My students have always enjoyed natural soft lighting so we are looking forward to having a new lamp that will help with the ambiance of our classroom.

We are also leaning into more science work and having a microscope, clay, and shelving to store our work will be transformative for my students so they have a place to store the things they are learning about and creating.

We experimented with clay as a material last year and students took their learning to new levels through building and collaborating with one another and science researchers around types of coral and how coral grows.

We are looking forward to new opportunities for learning and cannot wait to see how the materials lend themselves to student inquiry and exploration.
