This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Secret Stories is an amazing way to sneak phonics in as students come across tricky words. These stories are two to three-minute catchy stories about certain letters and how they work together to make sounds. Secret Stories has had tremendous success with teaching phonics rules to all different levels of kids. This classroom kit will give me the stories, and posters to help them remember tricky spelling patterns. It will also provide my classroom with a print-rich environment. My students will be able to read the room to help them during reading and writing. These posters align with the Science of Reading. Studies have shown that the human brain can easily decode most words, reading can be fun and not a struggle. Thames posters will help my students succeed in reading and writing. It is so important for first grade students to enter into second grade as confident readers and writers. Please help my next class be as successful as possible with this amazing resource!
