Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Each day we use online programs to help our literacy understanding. Having headphones with a microphone helps to keep the noise level in the room down, and so the AI program can hear the student read. This also allows me to be able to listen to a recoding of a student reading at any time.

The donations to this project will my help students improve their reading accuracy and fluency, and create a calming environment where students can focus.

My goal is to have working headphones for each student, so students can concentrate and have less distractions. Literacy is life changing for everyone. By giving my students opportunities to become literate I am setting them up for success in life.

My students try very hard to complete their readings and learn what they can. When the headphones don't work, they get frustrated and learning decreases. Giving them the supplies and support they need to succeed will increase their chances of being successful and becoming literate members of society. Every child should have the opportunity and privilege to learn in a stress free environment.
