My Project

I have the BEST scholars in my class. Every morning while waiting on breakfast they read books on their tables. The books are from our shared read alouds. After I read a book, I rotate the books around the four tables. I enjoy hearing them retell the story or question a friend about their chosen book. Some authors are more popular than others, but they love all books.

My scholars do not have libraries at their homes.

I send links from some of our favorite stories to the parents weekly. This allows the parents to connect with the story and be a part of their child’s excitement about a book. But that’s not enough for me. I want my students to be able to read books at home. The resources in this project will allow them to have at least 2 books a piece to start their home library.
