My Project

The items in this project will assist the students of my school to regulate and explore their sensory systems in order to continue to function the best they can while in the school environment. We were given the opportunity to transform a small room into a therapeutic enviroment to allow children ages 2-11 to explore their senses and possibly calm them down and allow them to interact with their enviroment in a more functional way. What's amazing about this room is that once completed it will not only benefit students that are receiving Occupational Therapy, but will benefit all students. I have seen how a calming atmosphere can positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that the additional support will help us grow even more!
