Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I'd like to start off by saying that my students are some of the most dedicated individuals I've ever met. My students are fun loving and hardworking individuals who come from low income neighborhoods.

Since meeting them, I've always known that they were a special group, and with the unfortunate events due to the COV-ID19 virus, many of my students have experienced set backs.

While School has been in session via remote learning, many of them have not had the opportunity to participate due to circumstances that are beyond their control.

I'm very happy that many of our 2020 senior class has consistently shown up and showed out. They've overcome adversity and continue to surprise me each and everyday.

My Project

This I-pad will be provided to a student who is majoring in Graphic Design in the fall at a CUNY institution.

This student worked hard and maintained top grades amidst the Corona Virus pandemic, she's the youngest graduate at our high school to date and she still finds time to organize remote events for classmates.

Top grades, a leader in student government, and an ELA tutor, this student has participated and done it all. Remote learning has been tough, but this student has been tougher, and now she's going to continue her journey.
