This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are fearless and always ready for a challenge. Many of them use the arts as a way to make sense of the world around them. This year, I want to be able to provide a space for them to be able to create theatre.

My Project

A functional theatre needs space. Our theatre is lacking space, and these shelves will help create more storage for students. The storage situation in our theatre is severely lacking and has spilled into the dressing rooms and classroom; this has rendered these spaces unusable. Currently, we teach in the auditorium and have very little access to anything else.

If we could get the classroom and dressing rooms cleaned up and organized, this would provide us with more space that we desperately need.

Shelving units help create vertical space to store props, books, as well as everyday supplies.

The theatre students deserve to have a functional space that can be used to create art. They deserve to have clean spaces that they are proud of. Cleaning and organizing will certainly help them with this. We appreciate your support and hope you can help us reach our goal!
