Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are enthusiastic and eager young musicians who are learning to play the violin in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade at our Title 1 school. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring curiosity, determination, and joy to our music room every day. I love watching their confidence grow as they master new skills, work together, and experience the magic of making music. However, our classroom space is limited, and keeping our violins organized and in good condition can be a challenge.

This project will provide sturdy storage shelves to keep our violins safe, organized, and off the floor.

With more space to move freely, my students will be able to focus on their playing instead of worrying about navigating a cluttered room. Violin polish will allow them to care for their instruments, teaching them responsibility and pride in maintaining their tools. Finally, lamination pouches and blank business cards will allow me to create personalized luggage tags so that each student can clearly label their assigned violin for the year.

By creating a well-organized, clean, and structured learning environment, I am setting my students up for success. These simple but essential resources will help them take ownership of their instruments and their learning, fostering independence, teamwork, and a love for music.
