My Students

My students are thoughtful, creative, and eager to learn! They are learning how to become leaders in our classroom and in the community.

Every day is a new learning experience in first grade!

The students are learning to read, write, count and care about one another.

Each child is unique with special gifts and challenges. In my classroom, I strive to create hands-on experiences to meet each child's needs and provide an educational experience that we all can learn from. We love to celebrate our big and little successes each day!

My Project

Phonemic awareness is a basic skill needed to help students along the path to becoming better readers and writers. Because of the special circumstances that we have been dealing with for several months now, my students are behind in these basic skills. These learning center games and activities will provide extra practice for small groups to learn more about beginning, middle, and ending sounds as well as other phonemic skills.

Hands-on activities are so fun for First Graders and I am excited to provide as many experiences that I can to help them become super readers!
