I will be have 520 elementary students from Kindergarten to fifth grade coming through my STEM classroom. These students are eager to learn; eager to explore; eager to engineer; and eager to discover.
Colored pencils can be valuable tools in our STEM classroom.
They can help by enhancing visual learning and engagement through drawing diagrams, creating graphs, and illustrating concepts in a more engaging way. The problem we run into is that color pencils ruin regular pencil sharpeners so we steer away from colored pencils.
A pencil sharpener for only colored pencils will be a game changer. The selection of color pencil sharpeners will only be used for colored pencils. This will allow students to use the colored pencils for enhancing their learning and use in their STEM journals. The ability to continue to use colored pencils in their work will make it more meaningful for students.
