Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We tend to take basic supplies for granted; it isn't until you no longer have access to those basic supplies that you realize how vital they are.

My students live in a high poverty area of New York City.

The class consists of general and special education students. They love to write, draw, and create. My students come from diverse cultures and economic backgrounds and don't always have access to the basic supplies they need. I want to create a learning environment that meets all of my students' needs.

My Project

My students need erasable pens in a variety of colors for everyday use in the classroom. These supplies will enable us to get more work done in the classroom and have more time for lessons. A lot of time and resources are wasted sharpening pencils throughout the day. Erasable pens will allow us to focus on what's important as well as engage the students.

The smallest things can make the biggest difference in the lives of my students.

With your help, my students will have a much-needed resources that will make a lasting impact in their education. Please help my students with this classroom necessity!
