My Students
I teach 42 curious third grade students. They are an excited and eager bunch of learners and explorers (especially when it comes to technology!) who come from diverse backgrounds. We are located in a school district that is mostly Title I, and my students come from all across the district with some even coming from outside of it.
Being a part of a science magnet school, my students know they are scientists (this includes computer science!).
They are actively involved in their learning and set out to conquer anything that comes their way.
My Project
This iPad will increase the opportunities my students have to create and share what they're learning in the classroom through a tool called See Saw, an innovative digital portfolio. How often do parents ask their kids what they did at school that day, and their kids just shrug?
See Saw will allow my parents to know and see exactly what their students are doing in class, and will provide my students a means through which to document what they are learning, their achievements and their progress.
I want to better connect families to the classroom, and this iPad is a great way to do it!
