Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager to learn new things and savvy enough to figure out how to do it with minimal resources. They have found ways to navigate distance learning and are continuing to show dedication and perseverance through it all.

They make me proud to stand in front of them and push me to give more of myself each time I do.

As we continue this new method of instruction, they continue to be inquisitive, supportive and grounded in ways that amaze me daily!

My Project

As we prepare for what our classrooms might look like upon return, one thing we know for sure is that we can no longer share our supplies. To help them with this new distancing, I am asking for supplies that will help them individualize their area, and materials that they will use daily both at home and in the classroom.

Once we return to school, they will personalize their magazine box and boards with culturally appropriate colors.

This will make the classroom a real representation of their individuality and make it a mirror of the neighborhood we are in.
