My Project

My students are such a capable group of students who want to learn how to be great members of their families as well as the community in which they reside. I would like my students to develop a deeper level of compassion for those in our community. We will discuss what they know and understand about Ronald McDonald House Charities and then do research and presentations about what we have learned. We will follow the same process for learning about those who live in our local retirement village.

We plan to create stuffed animals along with stories that we can give to the children who are using the services of Ronald McDonald House Charities as well as making cupcakes for the local retirement village.

Through the research the students will have a better understanding of the needs of others in our community and the benefits of doing kindness for others. Giving my students the supplies to complete their sewing projects as well as cooking in the kitchen will help them learn how to share with others and to be proud of what was created.
