Sharing a Love of Literacy With Students in Comfort

Help me give my students a warm and comforting environment with an area rug. As a first year teacher, I’ve yet to accumulate all the needed furniture for my classroom.

My Project

I am a first year teacher and so excited to get my first group of second graders in just a few weeks. When I got my classroom, I was missing a few essentials. This was tough as I hadn’t had a full time salary since November of last year.

I have furnished most of my classroom myself or with gifts from friends and family, but still need a few items to make sure students have a comfortable option with an area rug and pillows for floor sitting whether it’s for story time or for flexible seating needs.
