My Students

I teach in a NYC Public School where most children come from low income households. The school is located in an area with a strong sense of community. These students are very creative and eager to grow academically, musically, socially, and emotionally. They have a love for learning and a great love for the arts.

While each child has different needs, they all share a love for learning in my class.

They strive to be as musical as they can be with any resources that are provided. We use a range of learning strategies to ensure each child's needs are met. I adore these children and want nothing, but the best for them!

My Project

We are in the process of rebuilding the music department at our school. NYC has been working hard on adding the arts back in school and we are so excited to be able to bring music back into the classroom.

We are in need of a piano in the auditorium to use for performances throughout the year.

By having a piano in the auditorium ready for performances, we will no longer have to borrow one from someone. Some of the many performances the piano will be used for are: "Evening of Giving", "Holiday Performances", "Talent Show", "Spring Show", and "Dance Festival". Thank you in advance for your generosity.
