This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

"Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today," As Malcolm X once said. In the poorest congressional district in the country, I am committed to opening my students up to a world of endless possibilities. I have seen how engaged they become when we discuss specific topics happening today. Each resource I have requested is not just a tool, but a key to creating an engaging learning environment. Each item on my list has a particular purpose: to meet the needs of each student individually. While our classroom is a place for collective learning, it's important to remember that each student has their own unique needs, and these resources are designed to address them.

Headphones minimize distractions during independent tasks and are helpful when listening to educational material.

Learning can be enhanced during interactive lessons, read-aloud, and language learning apps, especially for students with learning differences. Bookmarks help improve focus, increase organizational skills, and aid in memorizing essential details or questions about the text. A cost-effective laminator enhances visual aids, assists during interactive learning, and helps showcase students' portfolios and work. Bookshelves provide easy access to reading materials and display a diverse range of genres and topics that can stimulate students' curiosity.

Keychains, sensory toys, and animal erasers can be used as incentives to motivate students, reinforce positive behavior, and support various learning needs. Small rewards can make a difference in academic goals, such as completing a set number of books, improving grades, or mastering a new skill. A box of pencils and dry-erase wipes may seem like basic supplies, but they can significantly impact learning in the classroom by promoting readiness, organization, and active participation. My goal for this project is to create a positive learning environment.
