This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hello!

My kiddos are eager learners who are ready to conquer the world!

The students are passionate about science and aspire to become future leaders. They enjoy helping each other and are eager to come to school. They are a bit apprehensive about returning to school as they are unsure how their friends may be doing. However, they express their desire to return to campus in hopes of getting some type of normal back, because at the core they are inquisitive, kind, and persistent.

My Project

The journals and writing prompts will be used in collaboration with teachers as we work together to Bridge the gap between social emotional learning and academics. Our students will learn the importance of acquiring social emotional skills and how it is a part of our everyday life. We are striving to build future leaders as we embrace a holistic approach.

We are also working on a creating an outdoor counseling space.

Ideally, we would love to take advantage of our outdoor space and help our students connecting to nature and one another. We want to foster the skill of being present. Thereby, increasing their ability to reflect before reacting.
