My Students

Reading and writing is the basic for all subject. If students hate reading and writing, they will struggle in Math, Science, History and the rest of the subjects. Thus, I make it make goal to help students immerse themselves in literature. I try to use art to engage students.

My students have a difficult time understanding drama, especially Shakespeare.

The lowest reading level in my class is second grade. It is a challenge to make literature interactive and captivating. Art will make it become alive for them. My students are very creative when it comes to drawing and painting, I want them to see how gifted they are.

My Project

I am requesting for paint to be used for a Shakespeare wall competition. Students will illustrate, paint, create murals of Shakespeare's plays and life as we read the plays in class. This will help to foster student interest. Unfortunately, with budget cuts, we do not have paint for the class.
