Shake, Move, Dance

Help my students engage in music and movement activities by providing them with a variety of hands on musical and dance materials.

My Project

I am a dance and music teacher for a wonderful group of students with Autism. They look forward to their dance classes each week were we learn spatial awareness, gross motor skills, imitation, and following direction skills.

My students show a love for music and learn best with hands on materials.

My students will use rhythm sticks, egg shakers, and bells to increase their ability to make a beat and move to the beat. They will use balancing buckets, scarves, and bean bags to help increase their coordination. Providing my students with these hands on dancing and music materials will significantly enhance my student's learning through movement.
