Shade, Seating, and SEL

Help me give my students the ability to have our academy bonding activity (at least twice a year) with shade, benches, and games. The items will help to bring our classroom outside by providing a comfortable outdoor space.

My Project

COVID has impacted our student's ability to interact with each other. I am currently part of a group of teachers who work with a specific group of 9th-grade students to help them transition to high school. Twice a year our group has a field/activity day where the students complete games together to build a sense of bonding. These items will help provide the students with shade and a sitting area while they are completing the activities. Also, some of the items purchased will be used in the bonding activities. Since COVID ended the field/activity day has improved the bond between the students and we have seen a positive effect on the student's social emotional learning. I also plan to use the materials to bring my classroom outside. The canopy and benches will be set up outside to provide a space for my students to complete their classwork.
