My Students

My students and I spent this year in distance learning. Even though distance learning has been a struggle for my students in different ways, but we created amazing routines, art projects and science experiments. At the end of February, many of my students and I will be returning to in-school learning. It will be challenging and wonderful at the same time. I am requesting these supplies to get my classroom ready for our upcoming circumstances.

We are living through history.

My students are incredible people. They come with tenacity, creativity, and a wide variety of experiences and gifts. We work hard every day as scholars, artists, critical thinkers, and friends.

My Project

My students and I are about to make a major change in our lives--we will shortly be returning to in-school learning after 10 months of distance learning. I am so excited to see their faces and hear their stories. I also know that I need to be prepared to provide enrichment that students can engage in while socially distant. I think that these monster sewing kits will be great for my students.

My 5th grade students are creative and curious and they love to work with their hands. This safe, hands-on craft project will be so important to our collective experiences. (And monsters are cool!) Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity!
