My Project

Sewing machines in the art room will allow us to expand the types of fiber arts projects we do. Last year I introduced my students to paper and yarn weaving and they loved it. I would like to provide the opportunity to add more types of projects to our fiber arts unit and the art club.

Sewing feels like a lost art in schools and most home economic courses have disappeared.

This is a great opportunity for students to use their creativity and to introduce students to necessary life skills.
