Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Flexible seating provides autonomy to students as they choose work environments that best serve their own needs. During independent or group work time, they choose a location in the classroom where they feel most comfortable and productive.

The products that I have selected will help give my students additional seating options to make more effective learning choices.

I began teaching at my current school in 2020. When students did begin to return to the building, they were restricted in where they sat and how close they were to each other. As restrictions have lifted, I hope to increase their ability to work collaboratively in a comfortable and engaging environment.

My students are highly engaged and motivated when they have a choice of seating arrangements, and can select what works best for them. This has positively affected my students work and motivation, and I hope to provide even more opportunities to help them set the stage for their learning and success!
