My Students

My students bring joy and light to our small and community-focused school. They are innovative, hard-working, and thrilled to come into school every day. I work at a Title I building with a diverse population of kids with many different backgrounds and needs. In addition to feeding hungry bellies breakfast, lunch and snacks, we feed them love, acceptance, social skills and a hands-on and curriculum-based education. Our school mascot is the Comet. We pledge to be safe, respectful to our school, piers and ourselves. Every one of our students are active and always on the move, curious about everything and love trying new things.

My Project

My classroom is full of science and STEM learning. I would love to extend my students love of science education at home as well. Unfortunately, our school day is not long enough to explore science as much as we would like. This project is designed to give them a broad range of inquiry-based science materials, arming them with the tools and knowledge they need to explore the world around them. This also will create a way for families to connect and create learning opportunities at home. The Human Body Chart and Solar System chart come to life creating a three dimensional at-home learning experience for the entire family. The Ozobots create a fun and engaging way that families can work together to code using colored markers.
