Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my classroom are active learners. They are very independent workers. Most come from lower economic homes in San Jose, CA, and have very few resources at their disposal. I also have a lot of students who are bilingual, and English is their second language.

Students in my classroom are thinkers and problem solvers.

They dive into all areas of the curriculum and read about it, explore it, question it, and develop a good understanding of the subject or topic we are learning about. We are in an open pod school pod with three other classes.

My Project

I am requesting a projector, stand and screen we can use outside and for our theater performances on the stage. My students will be putting on a production of 101 Dalmations in April. We have a lot of wonderful background scenery we could use to help with the sets. The problem I have is I have no way of projecting the backgrounds so that it can be used on stage.

I need a projection screen, stand and a projector that can be used for rear projection so that I can project scenery and other things during my classroom performances.

The ability to use rear projections allows me to keep the cords away from the kids so that they do not become a tripping hazard or cause issues like coming unplugged during the performances.

If you are able to help my students out and provide the screen and projector we would greatly appreciate it. Without your help, the screen and projector will not be possible.
