This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hello everyone! The drama department at P.S. 195 is working to outfit our auditorium with stage lights! We are in the second year of a brand-new drama program, and are slowly collecting the materials needed to sustain a robust, well-established theatre program.

We are located in the Soundview area of the Bronx, and we believe that all students from all backgrounds deserve access to a quality performing arts education.

We are preparing for The Little Mermaid Jr. opening June 2018.

My Project

This year, we are excited to begin working on our spring musical theatre production, the Little Mermaid Jr. The addition of stage lighting to our space will not only increase the production value of our show, but will allow students the opportunity to learn more about the technical aspects of theatre production.

Our students give so much to the production each spring.

We want to help them create a production worthy of the time and effort they put in. These materials are an investment into our program that will benefit students not only this year, but for years to come.
