My Project

My students are wonderfully unique, and we also have a wonderfully unique learning space! We are lucky to have a theatre as a home for our school's brand-new Theatre Arts program. In addition to acting classes, students learn about theatre history, theatre design, technical theatre, theatre for social justice, and playwriting. Having access to a stage and theatrical lighting is amazing. However, working and learning in a theatre has challenges. We do not have desks, bookcases, storage, or shelving like a traditional classroom.

Help us transform our unique space into an organized and multifaceted performing arts classroom that fosters creative and academic growth for our exceptional students.

The camping sink will allow us to access water to keep our materials clean when we practice stage makeup skills. Hand mirrors will allow students to see their work! We need bookcases to safely store our sketchbooks, design projects, costume patterns, scripts, and other theatre-related literature. We need storage to provide a home for make-up kits, silicon practice heads, lighting gels, lap desks, rulers, tape dispensers, staplers, paper, pencils, and other basic classroom supplies. By supporting this project, you will help students engage with this exciting new curriculum and allow their creativity to flourish.
