My Project

We're at it again! After the roaring success of our Madagascar, Jr. stage crew program last year, we are again working with our English Language Learners to produce all the sets for our school's production of Shrek, Jr.

We need a new supply of cardboard to bring Shrek's swamp and the forest outside of Duloc to life.

Many of the materials you funded last year such as backdrop, paints, and building supplies can be reused for years to come, but we need a fresh supply of the more disposable materials. We can make real stage magic from cardboard: last year we built a boat and a beach, rocks and plants, all in 3D cardboard. It's easy for our younger kids to paint and get involved with these everyday materials.

With your support, we can ensure that all of the students in our school, even those who don't yet feel comfortable enough to take their English to the stage, can be meaningfully involved with our school play. Last year, our ELLs were so proud to see their work take center stage, and we know this year will be no different!
