My Project

My service learning class is looking to make homemade fleece blankets to donate to our local hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Using the fabric requested, students will hand create these warm and cozy blankets for children that are admitted into the NICU. The students in service learning are both hard working and selfless. They never fail to put their best work into the projects they do for others. Our goal using this fabric is to create 32 blankets.

With the fabric donated, students will be given the opportunity to help others within the same community that has given so much to them.

My students understand the importance of reaching out and helping others and I know they will put great work into these blankets. They are very eager to begin another hands on project to help those in their community.
