My Students

Each year, I am blessed with an amazing group of children, from whom I learn from daily. I teach in a low income area. Many of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of my students are eager to start the new school year.

My Project

I am requesting different series of books for my students. My students love reading series books. Students have been reading remotely for the whole year. I really would love for them to have real books in their hand for this unit. I hope that the series books that I have chosen will be of great interest to my students. These books are geared toward diversity and multicultural aspects. Many of my students come from all over the world and I’m constantly searching for books that they can relate to. Having interesting books is one of the key factors in helping children become life long readers. Seeing students' eyes light up when they find a book that they love makes teaching very worth it!
