My Students

I teach in an ICT classroom with 30 students. All students come from low-income households and many live in shelters. All students receive free breakfast and lunch every day. They come to school every day ready to learn and often don't want to go home because they want to continue learning.

My students are special because they are tenacious and they motivate and inspire me to be the best role model and teacher for them.

What I love about my students is their eagerness to learn. I am not only their teacher, but I am their champion away from home.

My Project

My scholars mental health has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Scholars normalcy was abruptly changed and now they will be transitioning back to in person learning full time.

By donating to this project you will support my students social and emotional competency as well as help them build resilience.

The Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards will purchase social emotional learning materials to help teach and reinforce positive behaviors and decision making. It will show scholars how to ask for help, be kind and understanding to their peers feelings and opinions. The circuit materials will also help scholars create projects for the class and school to ensure a positive, welcoming and safe school environment.
