Separation and Relaxation

Help me give my students an area in the classroom to calm and regulate their body.

My Project

My students do best when they have a clear understanding of different areas in the classroom and expectations in each area. We have created a sensory room and would now like to add to our sensory area that is within our classroom. We have added a huge plant, swing, pod chair, and rug already in this area. The addition of the greenery wall will add to our relaxing area within our classroom.

An area to rest and reset is essential for success in our classroom.

With this space in our classroom, my students will have the opportunity to calm and regulate their bodies anytime they need during the day. am optimistic that continued time in our calming areas will help them keep their body ready to learn and increase their engagement.
