Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students enjoy sensory input using sand and water play. We will use our sensory table during our choice time to explore. During our water unit, we experiment with sink and float. We can discuss textures, and weight, develop problem-solving skills, and promote vocabulary and conversation.

My students also use the sensory table as a way to calm their bodies.

It aids them in relaxing their minds and bodies. They develop and practice life skills such as turn-taking, sharing, and conflict resolution. They can use these skills in other areas of their life and within the classroom. Thank you.
