My Students

I have the most amazing and wonderful special education severe and profound class. My students come from very low-income families. Many of my students live in government housing and the only meals they have are the free breakfast and lunch they receive at school.

My students come to school every day excited to learn reading, math, and life skills.

They are like sponges and I want to provide them with all the tools they will need to be successful.

My Project

I want to make my Special Needs students a Sensory Wall. Sensory Walls help students learn through play. They can also impact their Socio-Emotional learning. Sensory Walls can help provide a sense of calm to students as well as improving their five senses. I am asking for donations to provide my students with ready made sensory busy boards, but also materials so that my class to make our own sensory tiles. Some materials we will need to make titles are cork board titles, adhesive, craft materials, calculators, and remote controls.
