My Project

My project is to provide items for my students so they can regulate, explore, and maneuver through the demands of school. There are many social, emotional, and sensory hurdles to overcome for those with special needs and as a new classroom, extra items to provide ways for my students to cope, learn, and grow would be a great service to not only their academic needs, but overall life goals.

The sensory items give pathways for students to have tools to self regulate and focus on the daily functions of their time in school.

Many of these items also have a secondary function such as help with motor functioning through engagement or identifying emotional cues.

We all can have big feelings that become too big for us to manage or a need to distract us from stressful things in our environment. With help, these items will assist my students in managing those things.
