My Project

I am a school-based physical therapist and I work with students with disabilities. Many of them have difficulties self-regulating their emotions and behaviors.

Help me give my students the tools they need to self-regulate their emotions and behaviors while also making our physical therapy sessions fun and challenging.

These puzzles and sensory toys will give my students an opportunity to engage in fun activities with other students while meeting their needs. This will help them to manage their feelings to that they don't reach overwhelming levels and interfere with their learning and development.

I will be incorporating these puzzles into gross motor activities to support their school-based physical therapy goals like improving their ability to move around the classroom without tripping or falling. When my students need a "sensory break," the shaving cream, play foam, and pop tubes are great tools to help support the students who seek that type of input.

My students will hopefully be able to carryover the skills they learn in the therapy room to the classroom and real life situations. Please help me provide my students with this opportunity!
