Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Kindergarten and 1st graders are a lot of fun. Our students learn in many different ways using all of our senses and multiple intelligences. We use a wide range of techniques to help all the students succeed no matter what their level. Our students attend a Title I school. Most of the students come from families from low socioeconomic status, with over 70% of our students receiving free lunch. Our school is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in our state. Our school is a caring community of successful learners which can be seen through collaborative student project-based learning in and out of the classroom.

My Project

Sensory toys are needed to help children develop across all domains. What I am requesting can help my children develop fine/gross motor skills, it can help them develop social and emotional skills and can will give them a chance to remain calm and relax in any scenario

The wiggle seats can help those who have a hard time sitting for long periods of time.

The weighted dog will provide them with that extra support to keep them focus. The fidget bands that attache to their chars will also help them to stay focus during the lesson. I have also asked for water toys, which can be a great contribution to our sensory water play!

Pillows and rugs are always need a classroom, to make sure the kids feel comfortable and welcomed. Stretchy sensory balls will always come in handy when a child is feeling anxious! These materials/toys will help my students in many ways.
