My Project
My students are resilient, bright, and full of potential, despite facing significant challenges in their young lives. Many of them have experienced trauma and come from low-income families, which adds layers of complexity to their educational journey. What makes them special is their incredible strength and ability to endure and overcome obstacles. I appreciate and celebrate their diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
The sensory toys and flexible seating options will provide my students with essential tools to manage their stress and anxiety, creating a more focused and calm learning environment.
These items will help students who have experienced trauma by giving them ways to self-regulate their emotions and behaviors, improving their ability to concentrate and participate actively in class. By incorporating sensory toys and flexible seating, I aim to create a supportive atmosphere where all students feel safe and ready to learn.
The primary goals for this project are to enhance the emotional well-being and academic performance of students who have experienced trauma. Your generous donation will provide students with calming and sensory tools to help them manage stress and anxiety, create a flexible and comfortable classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs, and help my learners develop self-regulation and coping skills that they can use both in and out of the classroom.
