My Students

I work with 6 wonderful students who are diagnosed with autism and are the most loving and amazing children. Each day they come running up to the door of my classroom eager to see what is in store for them.

Each student in my class has a fun loving personality and displays them in their own way.

I have students who are nonverbal and express themselves through gestures and pictures symbols as well as students who are verbal. They are a great group to see each day and I look forward to work each day because of them.

My Project

My students each have different sensory needs. Some students love squishy textures while others would rather just play in the sand! With your help, my students would be given the opportunity to have 4 different places to experience different sensory textures.

These sensory tables will be used in our centers rotations and allow students to play with sand, water, noodles, beads, and many other different items in a safe and clean way!

It will allow me to have these materials readily available to my students whenever they may need it. The separate tables will be a great way to introduce new textures to my students as well. Best of all, it is an organized place to keep all of the supplies with little to no clean up!
