This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My kindergarten class loves to play with water. They are always seeking this sensory output. As kindergarten students with autism, they love seeking sensory output and learn best through a hands-on approach.

As of late, I have been using shallow letter size boxes to replicate a sensory table, but I am asking for the materials (sensory table and fillers) to create a sensory learning area within our classroom.

I am asking for a sand-water table, a complete set of Float & Find Bubbles, an Ocean Sensory Bin, and addition sensory resources and kits. These materials will be paired with curriculum to reinforce their motor skills.

Kindergarten is also all about setting routine and learning to work in centers/rotations! I am big on having centers within my classroom and these materials do just that. Centers create a flowing and independent environment.
