My Project

Our kindergarten through second-grade Autism behavior intervention class is a place of growth and discovery for students, each with unique sensory needs. To foster a supportive environment, we're seeking sensory tools that will help our students regulate their bodies and emotions.

These items aren't just toys; they're essential supports that allow our students to access their education and participate fully in classroom activities.

Most importantly we are looking forward to the swivel chair to provide strong input for calming purposes. We added floating jellyfish lamp to get a calming visual sensory experience, helping students to de-escalate and find regulation during moments of sensory overload.

In addition to the swivel chair and jellyfish lamp, we're requesting a vibrating pillow for deep pressure input and weighted stuffed animals will provide comforting deep pressure. The sequin flip fabric that offers a tactile and visual exploration. Finally, a variety of fidgets including the squishy Nee-doh cubes, therapy brushes and spinner light wands will give students discreet and appropriate ways to manage anxiety and restlessness. Your generous contribution will directly impact the lives of these young learners, providing them with the resources they need to succeed academically and emotionally.
