Sensory Support for Students with Autism

My Project

I am a speech therapist and currently work at a school for children with autism. Many of these children require a lot of oral stimulation and put various objects in their mouths. This is an appropriate tool that they can use to help them improve their oral awareness. Many of my students have sensory feeding difficulties and are aversive to many foods. The different attachment heads allow them to feel more comfortable with objects near their mouth and as a result, more comfortable eating. The spoon head attachments also allow the students to feel vibrations while eating, which helps improve their sensitivity as well.
